START-AV Training

Scottish Government are pleased to announce that they will be funding the training for 100 practitioners in Scotland in the START-AV risk assessment tool.

Training will be taking place in Dundee on September 17 & 18 and in Edinburgh on September 20 & 21.

START AV requires validation in Scotland. Practitioners will therefore be required to share data, completed assessments, and be involved in consultation, with CYCJ and the RMA. It is also our intention to train a small number of trainers, who will deliver training across the Country.  Further details in relation to this will be given in due course.

To apply for this training managers should submit a list of names and designations and whether you would like to attend in Dundee or Edinburgh to CYCJ by July 20

at cycj@strath.ac.uk. You will be notified of how many places you have secured in early August.

Application indicates that you have organisational commitment to use START AV assessment and support its evaluation.  Please indicate whether you would like to attend in Dundee or Edinburgh.

Participants MUST be able to attend both days of training. A limited number of manuals will be provided.  If additional manuals are required these will need to be purchased by your organisation.
