Vulnerable Girls and Young Women Network Event: Inverness

WHAT WORKS for GIRLS and YOUNG WOMEN

Aims and objectives

  • To bring together local authority, health and third sector and other service providers to focus on best practice with vulnerable girls and young women
  • To update on current research, youth justice policy, strategy and future developments
  • To explore different service models and how these can be incorporated into practice in local areas

The events will provide an opportunity for service providers to showcase how they have developed practice with girls and young women who present high risk behaviours, and to consider how this could be developed on a locality basis.

There will also be an opportunity to hear about recent research into this area of work, Scottish Government strategic priorities and some of the work being undertaken by the Champions Group.

Who is it for?

Social work, youth justice, health, education, third sector and other professionals who have an interest and/or a role in service provision for high risk girls and young women.
