Bail and Remand – can you help?

CYCJ is undertaking research looking at the use of bail and remand for young people (under 18) across Scotland – to understand how the experience of going through the criminal justice system affects young people and their families.

If you are under 18, with experience of bail or remand in the last two years, or know someone who is, please get in touch.

We want to hear about your experience and how you felt about decisions made about you or your loved ones, and what supports you received during this time. What would have made the experience easier for you?

As part of this research we would like to interview you in a location that suits you, for around 45 minutes. You don’t have to answer/or talk about anything you don’t want to and no names will be used in the report. Contact us for further information and a consent form. Call 0141 444 8622 and ask for Donna or Kristina at the Centre for Youth & Criminal Justice.
