Young People’s Views and Experiences

IVY (Interventions for Vulnerable Youth)

The IVY project was introduced by CYCJ to promote best practice in forensic mental health risk assessment and management for young people who offend.

The IVY team support social work assessments and interventions with young people in line with GIRFEC.

Although located at the University of Strathclyde, the project’s ambition is to ensure all high risk young people and families across Scotland have access to best advice, practice assessment and interventions addressing their mental health, psychological and forensic risk and needs.

Developing the Children and Young People agenda

CYCJ is looking to support children and young people who have had involvement with youth justice services to contribute to improving youth justice policy, practice and research.  We are keen to ensure that young people not only have a voice, but are also active participants in shaping improvements.
