This report sets out the significant achievements from this period, including highlights such as:
- Launching of the CYCJ eLearning platform, offering practitioners of all disciplines a flexible online training option to help build knowledge of topics relating to children and young people who could be at risk of harm, harming others and coming into conflict with the law.
- Publication of the Men Minds Comic, developed from a participatory research project. The comic aims to help young men and boys open up about their mental health, with a copy having been distributed to every secondary school and college in Scotland.
- Delivery of the 23rd Kilbrandon Lecture by CYCJ Associate Professor Carlene Firmin. Professor Firmin’s talk, entitled, “When common sense is complicated: a call for cultural reform to safeguard children beyond their homes”, called for a contextual safeguarding approach to address extra familial harm.
- Publication of the 2025 edition of CYCJ’s annual Youth Justice Practice Guidance
- Publication the Criminal Exploitation of Children Framework for Practice
- Hosting of the 2025 National Youth Justice Conference
