After finishing my law and business degrees in Queensland, Australia, I headed south for the big smoke of Melbourne. After working as an information officer with Legal Aid, I took my first practising role at a Community Legal Service with a strong focus on domestic violence law.
My next role was as an advocate with Victoria Police, appearing in court on behalf of the police, before finally I took an advocacy-based position with the Child Protection Litigation Office, acting on behalf of the Department of Human Services. In 2012 I interned at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center, a legal service for those facing the death penalty.
When I’m not working as an administrative assistant here at CYCJ, I’m photographing weddings! I love being a part of the CYCJ team. It is a real privilege to contribute towards a better future for Scotland’s youth and criminal justice systems.
