Principal Clinical Psychologist (IVY)

Prior to joining the Interventions for Vulnerable Youth (IVY) Project at CYCJ, I worked as a clinical psychologist within adult forensic mental health and learning disability teams in Glasgow, working within community, secure inpatient and women’s services.  I completed my doctoral training in clinical psychology in 2010, during which I undertook research on attachment, sense of self and personality disorder.

My main clinical interests continue to be focused on working with individuals with complex needs, particularly those who have experienced complex trauma, psychosis and personality difficulties, and the systems which offer support to these groups.  I have jointly developed and deliver training through the Forensic School of Mental Health on supporting staff after violent or distressing incidents, and am also involved in the delivery of clinical psychology support to providers who work with looked after and accommodated young people.
