Marie Gibson

Marie is a fourth year Community Education student at the University of Dundee, currently on an internship at CYCJ as part of her final year on the degree. This will include various pieces of work including supporting Youth Justice Voices, contributing to policy work and delivering training. She will also be carrying out a research project with Youth Justice Voices to evaluate the impact of participation.

Marie has written blog posts for CYCJ talking about her own experiences of the care and justice systems and is one of the contributors in co-producing the participation and engagement strategy. Over the past six months she has been working with Staf on a project funded by CYCJ to co-produce new guidance for the Whole System Approach with children and young people.

Marie has experience of working with young people and has a passion for amplifying the voices of care and justice experienced young people to influence change. She hopes to move forward as a Community Education practitioner in this area after her degree.
