Are we Keeping The Promise for children in conflict with the law?

THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. If you would like a place on our waiting list, please email cycj@strath.ac.uk.

In February 2020 the findings of the Independent Care Review were published, reaching conclusions about the way in which Scotland must change the way it cares for its children. A number of these were specific to children in conflict with the law – or who are at risk of being so.

Almost two years on, this webinar and discussion will ask what The Promise means for these children, what progress has been made, and what role practitioners can play in improving the way Scotland treats its children.

Speakers include Brian Houston, the newly appointed Head of Support at The Promise Scotland.

This event is primarily aimed at those who support children in conflict with the law on a daily basis, be that as a family member, social worker, residential worker, teacher, police officer or panel member. Discussion and debate will be encouraged, with questions and feedback welcomed.
