CCE Webinar

Over the past few years the issue of child criminal exploitation (CCE) has been consistently highlighted to CYCJ by professionals, with many reporting that the issue is increasing. However, issues, definitions and practices surrounding CCE appear to vary by sector and geographical location. As a result, a scoping review was commissioned by CYCJ, Action for Children and the Scottish Government to identify the evidence base and professional perspectives that currently exist in relation to CCE in Scotland.

This research included a review of current CCE literature, collation of existing multi-agency CCE data, interviews with professionals and a survey of residential care staff across Scotland. This webinar will present some of the key findings from this research, including how CCE is currently understood, professional perspectives on the issue and practice concerns. These findings can help to inform future research and the development of policies and practices to tackle CCE in Scotland.
