Postgraduate Certificate on children & young people in conflict with the law

The Children and Young People’s Centre for Justice (CYCJ) is introducing a new Postgraduate Certificate on Children & Young People in Conflict with the Law, in conjunction with the University of Strathclyde.

Starting in January 2022, this exciting course has been newly developed by CYCJ to provide a professional postgraduate qualification for those who wish to improve outcomes for children and young people who are on the edges of, or in conflict with the law.

As a fully online, part-time course, it offers the flexibility to grow knowledge, skills and continued professional development whilst maintaining existing professional and personal commitments.

Whilst gaining a professional qualification from the University of Strathclyde, learners will gain a critical understanding of the issues surrounding children and young people in conflict with the law and will be better placed to implement changes in practice to respect children and young people’s rights and enable social justice.

Social workers and managers in children and families’ teams and youth justice teams, residential childcare providers, health care professionals and other settings across the statutory, voluntary and independent sector are amongst those who this course may appeal to. It may also be suited to those with a relevant undergraduate degree who are interested in working with children and young people in conflict with the law.

Find out more about the Postgraduate Certificate on Children & Young People in Conflict with the Law and apply. The deadline for applications is December 3, 2021.

If you would like to find out if this course is right for you, we are holding a Q&A session with course leaders on Thursday, November 25 (1pm). Register here.
