Children and Young People in Conflict with the Law: Communication Needs and Upholding Rights

CYCJ’s popular two-day training course is back for practitioners who wish to raise their awareness of the  speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) of children and young people in conflict with the law, with a focus on upholding their rights.

Day 1 will focus on the practicalities of SLCNs – awareness and prevention, the impact of trauma and adversity, how can systems and processes be safe, supportive and accessible?

Day 2 will focus on how practitioners can uphold the rights of those children in conflict with the law, including how children would like practitioners to work with them in meeting their communication needs.

 SIGN UP HERE.

This exciting course will enable participants to exchange knowledge and experience, whilst reflecting and sharing practice to raise awareness of SLCNs through the use of case studies, research and tools specifically designed for working with children with communications needs.

The cost per delegate is £285. Deadline for booking your place is October 30th. This course is delivered in partnership with the RCSLT.
