Butler Trust Award nominations now open

Do you know someone outstanding in community or youth justice?

The Butler Trust Awards, presented each year by HRH The Princess Royal, are open to anyone working in the UK criminal justice system.

Now in their 32nd year, the Awards are given to people for outstanding work which goes above and beyond what might normally be expected of them, whether doing something new or innovative, or “just” for doing their ordinary job extraordinarily well.

Nominations are now open for this year’s Awards. It’s really easy to put someone forward – simply fill in a nomination form giving the name (or names) of the person (or people) you want to put forward, together with a short explanation of why you think they should be considered.

Scotland has been under-represented in the Awards in recent years, and this is something we and the Butler Trust are eager to change, so if you know someone you think deserves to be recognised for their work we strongly urge you to consider nominating them for the Butler Trust Awards.

If you would like to put someone forward, please send CYCJ your nominations by 31 May; this will give us time to collate any additional supporting documentation before passing it on to the Butler Trust. The final deadline for submissions is 30 June.
