Ending the use of Young Offender Institutions for Children Webinar

The use of Young Offender Institutions (YOIs) for children in Scotland is required to end this year in order to Keep the Promise. In this webinar, the necessary legislative changes in the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Act and preparations that have been undertaken to facilitate this change will be outlined. The practice implications for children admitted to secure care having been remanded or sentenced will be discussed, along with an opportunity for questions and answers. These sessions will run twice, with the same information provided at each, and will be co-facilitated with the Scottish Government Youth Justice team.
