Ending the use of Young Offender Institutions for Children Webinar

The use of Young Offender Institutions (YOIs) for children in Scotland is required to end this year in order to Keep the Promise. In this webinar, the necessary legislative changes in the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Act and preparations that have been undertaken to facilitate this change will be outlined. The practice implications for children admitted to secure care having been remanded or sentenced were discussed, along with a Q&A at the end. These sessions were co-facilitated with the Scottish Government Youth Justice team. The same information was provided at each, however, the Q&A at the end was slightly different.

Webinar on Thursday 22nd August.
