Committee on the Rights of the Child Draft general comment No. 27 on children’s right to access to justice and to effective remedy – CYCJ response

CYCJ very much welcomed the opportunity to respond to General Comment 27 from the United Nations’ Committee on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Our suggested amendments have been made in tracked changes to the text in the document, and centre on drawing greater attention to the challenges for children in conflict with the law in seeking remedy for a rights infringement, and to include reference to the criminal exploitation of children.
