Started in 2021, the Barnardo’s Missing Service is delivered using a Tri-partnership model between Barnardo’s, Police Scotland and North Lanarkshire Council. CYCJ were commissioned to evaluate the impact of the service. In order to do this CYCJ’s Dr Fern Gillon and Holly Maclean analysed redacted social work case files and conducted a number of interviews with professionals, children and parents who had had some involvement with the service.
