Practice Development Advisor
Since qualifying as a Registered Forensic Psychologist in 2001 I have worked both in adult criminal justice and youth criminal justice settings. Between 1999 and 2013 I worked in the Scottish Prison Service where a large focus of my work was on the assessment and management of offending behaviour, and in particular harmful sexual behaviour. During this period I spent some time at the University of Aberdeen where I engaged in research around children’s eye-witness memory and investigative interviewing. In 2013 I moved to work in the Children and Families Department at the City of Edinburgh Council where I was employed as the Programme Manager for the two Multisystemic Therapy teams.
My role at the Centre of Youth & Criminal Justice is around developing capacity and improvement in the youth justice workforce as well as supporting the IVY clinic.
