Before qualifying as a Social Worker in 2016 Karen had various third sector roles, predominantly working with young people in residential rehabilitation and supported accommodation environments, as well as serving as a Children’s Panel member. Since 2016 has Karen worked as a Social Worker within local authority Children and Families and Youth Justice teams, supporting young people in conflict with the law, also completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Welfare and Protection. She joined CYCJ for a year’s secondment in June 2023, working within our Reimagining Justice team.
