Professor Barbara Fawcett

Barbara Fawcett is Professor of Social Work and joint Head of the School of Social Work and Social Policy with Professor Trish Hafford-Letchfield. Prior to joining the University of Strathclyde she was Head of the Department of Social Work and Social Care at the University of Birmingham. She also spent 10 years in Australia at the University of Sydney as Deputy Head of Faculty and Associate Dean (Research). Her research interests include ageing, mental health, disability, gender studies and participatory forms of researching. Whilst at the University of Birmingham she was also Director of Internationalisation for the College of Social Sciences.
