Under the Whole System Approach, all young people aged under 18 and older young people where local authorities have agreed this with SPS as part of the Whole System Approach extension should have reviews throughout their time in custody. The type and timescales for reviews vary and reference should be made to Information Sheet 44 for further information. Following requests by local authorities and the Scottish Prison Service, CYCJ has worked with partners to develop a template for reviews. This template aims to bring consistency to the chairing and recording of reviews and to assist planning by highlighting the key areas to be discussed at each review.
